Cultural policy research in SEE: mapping the current situation
The state of the arts of cultural policy research in the region

Policies for Culture aims to launch a process of mapping, and awareness raising concerning the importance of research as basis for decision-making and evaluation of implemented policies. Redefining policy mechanisms
Relevance, utility and use of (quasi-)arm's length financing mechanisms for culture in SEE
In the past 15 year, many attempts have been made in order to reform the centralised financing mechanisms inherited from the past. In this context, very diverse models of so-called "arm's length financing mechanisms" came into being in Eastern Europe, some in the early '90s, some later on, while in some countries they are still on the drawing board. The forum therefore aims to share information and experiences on the functioning of such arm's length financing mechanisms in our countries and to find and share possible ways of improving their operations and their impact on the cultural life.
